Classic Horror Movie Nights

October, 2018 is our most ghoulish month here at the Manitou Springs Heritage Center. Lots of “horrifying” decorations and exhibits that capture the inner sanctum of your imagination, Classic Horror Movies, and ghosts…. lots of ghosts.

October 5th - "Dead Men Walk"

​After being killed by his twin brother, Elwyn Clayton rises from the grave as a vampire intent on ruining his brother's life. (1943) Heritage Center doors open at 6:30pm; movies start at 7:00 pm. Run time 1:03:05. Popcorn and traditional movie concessions are available. Donations benefit the Manitou Springs Heritage Center.

October 12th - "The Ghoul"

​The Ghoul is a 1933 British Horror film starring Boris Karloff, Cedric Hardwicke, Ernest Thesiger and Ralph Richardson, whose debut film this was. The plot centers around a Professor (Karloff) who is to be buried with an Egyptian jewel in order to attain eternal life. When the jewel is stolen by his servant, the professor rises from the dead to reclaim it. (1933) Heritage Center doors open at 6:30pm; movies start at 7:00 pm. Run time 1:08:47. Popcorn and traditional movie concessions are available. Donations benefit the Manitou Springs Heritage Center.

October 19th - "Man with Two Lives"

​Fortunately, a scientist is able to restore life to the body of a man who died in an automobile crash. Unfortunately, he does so when the soul of a criminal just executed is looking for a home. (1942). Heritage Center doors open at 6:30pm; movies start at 7:00 pm. Run time 1:04:37. Popcorn and traditional movie concessions are available. Donations benefit the Manitou Springs Heritage Center.

October 26th - "Man with Two Lives"

​An ex-major breaks a safe-cracker out of jail to use as a guinea pig for an invisibility ray with hopes of eventually building an invisible army. Things go awry though when the safe-cracker develops his own plans. (1960) Heritage Center doors open at 6:30pm; movies start at 7:00 pm. Run time 57:16. Popcorn and traditional movie concessions are available. Donations benefit the Manitou Springs Heritage Center.
